Cardi B and Offset have announced the arrival of their third child together.
Cardi took to Instagram earlier today to share a series of photos of her newborn baby girl.
“The prettiest lil thing,” the rapper captioned the post, revealing the birth date as Saturday, September 7, with “9/7/24.”
Cardi and Offset are already parents to daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 3. While they haven’t disclosed the new baby’s name, Cardi shared a heartwarming collection of photos from the hospital.
One photo features Offset cradling the newborn with his two other children standing beside him. Cardi also posted a video of herself cradling the baby while listening to music.
The rapper originally announced her pregnancy the day after filing for divorce from Offset.
On Instagram in early August, Cardi shared a photo of herself in a red dress, showcasing her baby bump, and wrote: “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all!
“You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
Cardi filed for divorce just a day before announcing her pregnancy, after six years of marriage. A representative confirmed the news to PEOPLE, stating, “It’s not based on cheating rumors, but rather has been a long time coming.”
The couple started dating in 2017 and experienced an on-again, off-again relationship. They married in the same year but briefly separated toward the end of 2018.
After rekindling their romance, they separated again in September 2020 when Cardi filed for divorce in an Atlanta courthouse.
However, around two months later in November, Cardi called off the divorce and reconciled with Offset.
The couple welcomed their first child, Kulture Kiari Cephus, on July 10, 2018, and their second child, Wave Set Cephus, on September 4, 2021.
