Cardi B has revealed her son’s name is Grey while marking his first birthday with a head-to-toe gray ensemble and a fortune in custom diamonds.
The rapper, 32, shared the first photos of her baby with NFL star Stefon Diggs, 31, on Instagram last week, confirming the infant’s full name as Grey M.D. The reveal came with a carefully coordinated look: a silver wig, heather gray tank top, and gray manicure that extended even to her nails.
The jewelry took center stage. Cardi flashed a towering stack of diamond bracelets by celebrity jeweler Elliot Eliantte, with each piece customized with one of her children’s names. She layered those with two diamond tennis bracelets. Around her neck sat three more pieces: a matching “Grey” collar necklace, a tennis choker, and a lariat-style design featuring massive emerald-cut diamonds with pavé halos. Her fingers carried two pear-shaped diamond rings, while her wrist held a frosted Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch.
The accessories included a gray crocodile Hermès Kelly Cut purse, which resells for approximately $70,000.
This is not the first time Cardi has used Eliantte pieces to announce a baby name. In 2024, she revealed her daughter Blossom’s name through the same sparkling method.
“Happy 1st birthday to Grey M.D🩶🩶🩶!! It’s only been 1 year since meeting you but it feels like I’ve had you at my side forever,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of the toddler wearing diamond earrings and chain necklaces.
“I carried you through one of the most uncertain high pressured times of my life but having you inside of me through it all gave me a extra strength. I was growing you inside of me and at the same time you were giving me life!,” she continued in her caption.
“You gave a new meaning to what a Grey day feels like. You light up my life and every room with your smile your laugh and your precious spirit,” she added.
Cardi is also mother to Kulture, 8, Wave, 5, and Blossom, 2, with ex-husband Offset, 33. She announced her pregnancy with Diggs’ baby in September 2025 after only a few months of dating. The couple experienced what sources described as a “complicated” breakup in February 2026, followed by a brief reconciliation.
The birthday post marks the first time Cardi has publicly shared Grey’s full name, though she had previously referenced him in social media posts without confirming the moniker. The coordinated gray aesthetic extended throughout every element of the reveal, from her hair to her nails to the luxury handbag.
