Cardi B shares powerful reason she’s canceling surgery to remove butt implants

Cardi B has revealed that she’s no longer having her butt implants removed and gave an extremely honest reason why she has changed her mind.

Earlier this year, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ star said she was planning to step back after finishing her tour — and use that downtime to have her butt implants taken out.

In footage obtained by Big Boys Neighborhood, the rapper spoke with fellow artist Kehlani, who brought up Cardi’s curves during their chat.

“You have so much ass,” she said, sparking Cardi to reply: “After this tour, I’m taking some out.”

The mom-of-four then doubled down on her intention to disappear for a while and focus on herself, adding: “After this tour, I don’t wanna hear nobody for three months. I’m going to Colombia, nobody hit me up, nothing. I’m taking this ass out!”

However, she’s now explained that she’s changed direction while appearing on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle.

Asked whether she was still going ahead with the post-tour procedure, Cardi admitted she’s not moving forward with it anymore, saying: “Yeah, I was saying that, but I’m not gonna do it. I was just gonna’ take a little bit of butt out, but I don’t have time for that.”

She also shared that, right now, she feels settled and confident in her body, explaining: “I feel really comfortable where I’m at right now with my body.

“I do have a whole bunch of cellulite — I don’t know if it’s the age or if it’s the fact that I got four kids — but I feel really good.”

Cardi went on to point out that even if things look flawless from the outside, the reality is more normal than people assume. “It looks so perfect, but it’s not,” she went on to say about about her behind. “It’s okay. I’m loving my imperfections and I feel really comfortable. I feel really good.”

After the interview, plenty of viewers praised her for sharing how she really feels and for being candid about her insecurities. One person wrote: “She is so freaking encouraging, beautiful inside out, honest, brunt, blunt, down to earth, etc.”

Someone else agreed: “Cardi is just so down to earth, love her and wishing her the best,”

Another viewer said of her Today appearance: “She has been real since day one! You will never make me hate her, get ur bag Cardi.”

It’s not the only part of her life she’s spoken about openly in recent months, either. She has also discussed her split from Offset, who she was married to for seven years, with their divorce finalized in January 2024.

Reflecting on the last year while speaking on the Aspire With Emma Grede podcast, she said: “I feel like last year a new person was reborn.

“I don’t know if it was the divorce. I don’t know if something woke me up. I feel like I’m definitely a new person.”
