Law Roach has revealed Kim Kardashian as his newest client.
The celebrity stylist, 48, confirmed the pairing on Saturday after Kardashian, 45, attended the opening night of George Lucas’ Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles. Roach reposted a side-by-side video to his social channels showing Kardashian in a Chinese-inspired Yves Saint Laurent gown from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2004 Tom Ford collection alongside the original runway look. The keyhole black dress, covered in black and gold sequins, marked what fans immediately recognized as a dramatic style shift for the reality star.
Social media users quickly connected the elevated look to Roach’s involvement. “When I saw the first picture of the carpet, of her wearing this I thought: oh, she elevated her styling. “I think that’s what makes them successful because we are all waiting to buy something from them,” he shared. “Maybe they haven’t invented it yet, but I truly believe that they will. And when they do we’ll all buy it.”
Roach also pushed back against negative perceptions of the family during that interview, noting that a lot of people don’t understand how “nice” the Kardashian family really is.
The Yves Saint Laurent gown carried an additional layer of significance for observers familiar with Roach’s roster. Netizens pointed out that Céline Dion, one of his longtime clients, had worn that exact same dress to the 2004 World Music Awards in Las Vegas.
