Chad Lowe has resurfaced on social media following the death of his 13-year-old daughter, Fiona.
The actor, 56, broke his Instagram silence Thursday by reposting a clip from Olivia Hunt’s “On Healing” podcast to his Instagram Stories. The move marked his first public activity on the platform since the tragedy.
In the footage, guest Gerry Hussey speaks about the connection between energy and faith.
“We are all part of the frequency,” Hussey says in the clip. “We all possess both the human and the divine.”
Lowe did not add any personal commentary to the repost, letting the podcast excerpt stand alone on his Stories.
The “Life Goes On” actor and his wife, Kim Painter, had kept their Instagram accounts dormant since news of Fiona’s death emerged. The couple also share two older daughters, Mabel and Nixie.

Fiona died by suicide, according to reports that surfaced last week. She was the youngest of Lowe and Painter’s children.

The family has received an outpouring of support from relatives in the wake of the loss. Lowe’s older brother, Rob Lowe, and his son, John Owen Lowe, were among those who publicly honored Fiona.
John Owen Lowe shared a poem dedicated to his late cousin on social media, while Fiona’s sister Mabel posted a tribute vowing to honor her memory forever. Rob Lowe’s niece also wrote a heartfelt message making a vow to her younger sister.
Chad Lowe has largely maintained privacy throughout his Hollywood career, which spans four decades and includes an Emmy win for “Life Goes On” in the early 1990s. He later directed episodes of shows including “Bones,” “Supergirl,” and “9-1-1: Lone Star.”
The actor married Painter, a producer, in 2010. The family had occasionally shared glimpses of their life together on social media before the tragedy.
Mental health resources have been widely circulated by outlets covering the story, with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline available at 988 for those in crisis.
Lowe’s return to Instagram, however brief, signals a possible gradual re-emergence as he and his family navigate their grief. The podcast clip he chose to share emphasizes themes of healing and spiritual connection.
