Channing Tatum has shared his thoughts on those who believe the earth is flat, earning praise for his candid comments.
The actor’s latest film, Fly Me To The Moon, explores the famous conspiracy theory about the moon landing being faked. However, Tatum has a particular fascination with the so-called “GOAT” (Greatest of All Time) conspiracy theory of flat earthers.
Tatum appeared with Zoe Kravitz to promote her directorial debut, Blink Twice, on an episode of Complex’s GOAT Talk.
In the session, the 21 Jump Street star not only took jabs at billionaires but also mentioned how he enjoys dancing the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’s Carlton dance at parties to lighten the mood.
Building on his popularity, Tatum discussed what he considers to be the “GOAT Conspiracy Theory,” making his stance very clear in a concise, three-word message to the theorists.
Without missing a beat, Tatum responded, “Flat Earth. I mean, it’s like what the f**k?”
He continued, “Have you ever been on a plane? What the f**k is going on guys? So stupid.”
When asked what his message to flat earthers would be, he bluntly said, “Go f**k yourself.”
Kravitz humorously added, “GOAT f**k yourself.”
Fans quickly took to social media, finding Tatum’s remarks hilarious.
One Twitter user remarked, “Flat earthers bout to be in they feelings over this one.”
Another added, “Need more people calling idiots ‘f**king idiots’.”
A third expressed, “Channing Tatum keeps it real, able to laugh at himself and got a role in a Tarantino film! Give the man props.”
While Tatum dismisses flat earth theories, he shows a bit more understanding towards those skeptical about the moon landing.
Speaking to the Associated Press about Fly Me To The Moon, Tatum reflected, “I have a […] 68 camaro [car] and when you look at the dashboard, it’s all analog, there’s no automatic anything at all other than the transmission and you’re just going how did they go to the moon with just math – math and like strapping yourself to a giant rocket.”
He added, “It’s crazy to think about, that’s why obviously there’s all this conspiracy – did they go did they not go – and that’s why we have the movie because NASA was such a curtain, they wouldn’t let you know what was going on behind the curtain.”
Ultimately, Tatum concluded that he “personally thinks that they went.”
