Charlie Kirk’s wife speaks out on his assassination with heartfelt video message

Charlie Kirk’s wife has publicly addressed the devastating loss of her husband, who passed away this week.

On Wednesday (September 10), Kirk tragically succumbed to a gunshot wound to the neck while attending an event in Utah.

The 31-year-old was at Utah Valley University when an assailant opened fire on him, in what authorities describe as a deliberate attack.

In a development on September 11, the FBI announced the discovery of a rifle, believed to have been the weapon used in the attack on Kirk.

The shooter, identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson from Utah, has been taken into custody.

In the wake of Robinson’s arrest, Kirk’s wife, Erika, has addressed the public for the first time regarding the tragic death of her husband.

During a livestream, Erika stood behind a podium next to the chair Kirk used during his podcast sessions, expressing gratitude to first responders, Kirk’s team, and the White House.

She directly addressed President Donald Trump, stating: “Mr President, my husband loved you. And he knew that you loved him too.”

Erika highlighted Kirk’s affection for America, nature, and the Chicago Cubs, but emphasized that ‘most of all’, he ‘loved his children’, adding: “And he loved me. With all his heart. And he made sure I knew that everyday.”

She also spoke about those responsible for her husband’s assassination without directly naming Robinson.

She stated: “You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife, the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.

“They should all know this: if you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before you have no idea, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world.”

Erika pledged to continue Kirk’s legacy by carrying on with his campus tour, radio show, and podcast.

Talking about their two children, she expressed her struggle to explain their father’s death, recounting her words to her daughter: “Baby, daddy loves you so much. Don’t you worry. He’s on a work trip with Jesus.”

Kirk is survived by Erika, a former Miss Arizona USA, who he married in 2021. They have two young children: a one-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter.

While sharing snippets of their lives online, the couple chose to keep their children’s identities private.

Just hours before Kirk’s death, Erika made an unsettling social media post.

It read: “Psalm 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
