Charlize Theron has joined the growing roster of famous guests who have opened up on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.
Cooper, 31, is known for getting high-profile interviewees to share candid details about their personal lives, and Theron didn’t hold back during her appearance.
Recent headlines have focused on Nikki Glaser after she said she ‘wouldn’t care’ if her boyfriend Chris Convy were to sleep with other women.
Theron, by contrast, said she’s currently single. That led to a frank conversation about dating at 50, what she enjoys about being on her own, and what she wishes she’d done more of when she was younger.
The Mad Max actor has previously dated publicly, including relationships with Sean Penn and Stuart Townsend. These days, she’s spoken often about being happy single and has repeatedly said marriage isn’t a goal for her.
She recently reiterated on The Drew Barrymore Show that she doesn’t want to live with a partner again, though she’s still open to dating—something she expanded on in her NSFW chat with Cooper.
When the discussion turned to one-night stands, Theron said she’s only had “just three” in her life. She added that it’s something she looks back on with a bit of regret, saying she wishes she’d embraced that part of life more in her 20s.
“I don’t have many of them, I’m sitting here sounding like I do,” she admitted. “So when I do, I’m like ‘oh f**k yeah I should’ve done this in my 20s! I was married from the time that I was like, having sex to the time that I had my last relationship. Then I had children. Who has time for dates, and shaving, and waxing and makeup?”
Theron then shared that she’d recently had a memorable encounter, offering specific details about the age difference.
“I did just recently f**k a 26-year-old,” the mother of two admitted. “And it was really f*****g amazing.”
“F**k yes!” Cooper cheered, as she fist pumped the air in delight.
Theron said it was a first for her and explained how positively she felt about the experience afterward.
“I’ve never done that,” Theron continued. “And I was like, ‘oh this is great!’”
Cooper then joked about how the younger man must be feeling after their night together.
An impressed Cooper then responded: “Can I just say, the 26-year-old is the luckiest man on the planet! He’s walking differently today!”
Theron is a mother to two adopted daughters, Jackson and August. She adopted Jackson in 2012, followed by August in 2015.
Discussing her decision with PEOPLE, she explained that adoption had always been central to how she envisioned building her family.
Opening up about her decision to PEOPLE, the star said: “Even when I was in relationships, I was always honest with my partners, that adoption was how my family would look one day. “This was definitely not a second option for me. It was always my first.”
