Cher confirmed her romance with toyboy music producer Alexander Edwards on Twitter on Saturday.
In a series of messages, the 76-year-old hitmaker stated that her 36-year-old lover treats her “like a queen.”
The artist, who has previously introduced Alexander to her family, dismissed the 40-year age difference by saying, ‘Love doesn’t know math.’
A fan asked her to confirm the relationship, which she confirmed with a flurry of emoticons, and she added that they met last month during Paris Fashion Week.
Cher responded to trolls by writing, ‘I’m Not Defending Us.’ Haters are going to hate… It doesn’t matter if we’re happy and not bothering others.’
Alexander is most known for his relationship with Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, with whom he has a three-year-old son named Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.
Amber accused the producer of having relationships with 12 different individuals in August, and he subsequently admitted cheating on her on social media.
Cher, on the other hand, dismissed fans’ fears by adding, ‘I’m in love, not blinded by it.’
Alexander is the Vice President of Singers and Repertoire of Def Jam, which has signed artists such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, 2 Chainz, DMX, and Jhene Aiko.
Alexander was born in Oakland, California in 1986 and appeared on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Cher has twice divorced and has a son, Chaz Bono, 53, with her late ex-husband Sonny Bono, who died in 1998 at 62 after colliding with a tree while skiing.
She later married late singer Gregg Allman, who died in 2017 at 69, from 1975 until 1978. Cher and Gregg have a kid together, Elijah Blue Allman, 46.
Cher has previously stated that she dates younger men, after dating Ron Zimmerman, who is 12 years her junior, Tom Cruise when he was 23 and she was 38, and Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi, who is 13 years her junior.
