Chet Hanks confronted Eric André at ComplexCon in Los Angeles over the weekend, reigniting a feud that has simmered since their chaotic 2023 television appearance.
The “Running Point” actor, 36, approached the comedian, 43, from behind at the convention and tapped him on the shoulder, according to video obtained Tuesday. André initially extended his hand and asked, “What’s up?” but Chet refused to shake it, keeping his palm on André’s shoulder instead.

“What’d I say?” André asked as the exchange grew tense. Both men removed their glasses and began shouting at each other before André’s security team intervened and whisked him away.
Chet later detailed the encounter in an Instagram comment directed at André’s account. “Finally ran into @ericf–kingandre,” he wrote, mocking the host for traveling with four security guards “because the environment makes him uneasy.”

The actor referenced their 2023 “Eric André Show” appearance, which launched their public conflict. “[He] had NO MEMORY WHATSOEVER of trashing me to the media after I outshined him on his show!!” Chet wrote.

He continued: “After being sheltered by his security team, [he] began foaming at the mouth and admitted it was because he had a problem with me ‘mocking Caribbean culture’ when I did my Jamaican accent all those years ago.”
Chet added a sarcastic sign-off: “WHO KNEW that in addition to the brain rot and poop joke humor he is known for, Eric is also such a passionate cultural activist!!! Great running into you Eric!!!!!”

The confrontation traces back to Chet’s guest spot on André’s Adult Swim program, which the comedian later described as a dangerous experience. In a 2023 interview, André called his guest “emotionally disturbed.”
“He broke us down,” André explained to the outlet. “He stole a motorcycle and rode it around. He almost knocked a bunch of grips and gaffers off their ladders.”

Chet responded at the time with a social media video defending his behavior as matching André’s “weird outlandish troll” energy. “At one point, he has a dude come and jump a dirt bike on the stage,” he recalled. “He must not have known I ride dirt bikes because I picked that s–t up and start riding it around the set. Everybody’s like, ‘No, no, no, don’t do that. You could get hurt!’ I’m like, ‘Chill I just popped a little wheelie.'”

Chet added: “I put the bike down. Now he wants to come out and talk s–t about me? You must’ve just not liked the fact that I outshined you on your own f–king show.”
The exchange devolved further when Chet blasted André as a “f–king weirdo” and a “p–s.” André then fired back via Instagram, telling followers, “Guys, everything Chet said about me is a f–king boldface lie,” He continued: “F–king liar. And I dare him to take a f–king DNA test to prove that Tom Hanks is his f–king father.”

The ComplexCon run-in marks the first time the pair have been filmed together since their televised clash, with security again stepping in to separate them.

André’s representative did not immediately respond to requests for comment following the weekend incident.
