Some renowned clairvoyants have made some unsettling predictions that have seemingly come true this year.
As Christmas approaches and 2025 draws to a close, it’s safe to say this year has been quite tumultuous.
Global conflicts have persisted, natural disasters like wildfires and floods have devastated communities, Pope Francis passed away, and artificial intelligence has advanced significantly.
On the political front, Donald Trump returned to the White House for a second term as President of the United States.
But how many of these global events were foreseen by those who claim to predict the future?
Nostradamus, the French astrologer whose real name was Michel de Nostredame, is credited with predicting significant events such as the Great Fire of London, the rise of Hitler, the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, and the 9/11 attacks, all described in his 1555 book, *Les Prophéties*.
Blind Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga also reportedly foresaw several major events before her death in 1996 at the age of 84, including the Chernobyl disaster, Princess Diana’s death, the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, and Barack Obama’s election as the first African-American US president.
Now, people are reviewing these prophecies to see which predictions for 2025 have materialized this year.
Nostradamus allegedly predicted that “great powers will clash” in 2025, suggesting a decline in Western influence and the rise of new world powers.
Indeed, this year has seen tensions between world leaders, with notable incidents like Trump’s contentious meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s readiness to confront Europe.
Baba Vanga is believed to have predicted numerous earthquakes in 2025.
Unfortunately, she was accurate, with several devastating earthquakes occurring worldwide, including in Myanmar, Japan, the Philippines, and Afghanistan.
While Nostradamus didn’t specifically mention 2025 as the year for resolving the obesity crisis with weight loss drugs like Mounjaro, he did foresee “significant improvements in illness prevention and treatment.”
Researchers are also working on a tuberculosis vaccine, and AI advancements are aiding in predicting the likelihood of cancer development over the next two decades.
There are claims that Baba Vanga envisioned a catastrophic war engulfing Europe, resulting in a significant loss of life.
Though Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began in 2022, it remains the largest and deadliest conflict in Europe since World War II, with Putin’s ominous warning that Russia will “defeat” Europe in any future confrontation.
Some argue that the predictions of these seers are vague and open to interpretation, allowing them to be applied to various modern events.
For instance, Nostradamus mentioned that England “will be marked by wars so cruel, foes from within and without will arise.” While the UK isn’t directly involved in a war, it isn’t without its challenges.
Additionally, his notion of a “great pestilence from the past” reemerging might bring to mind Covid, especially considering the “superflu” outbreak.
Nostradamus also wrote: “Through long war all the army exhausted, so that they do not find money for the soldiers; instead of gold or silver, they will come to coin leather, Gallic brass, and the crescent sign of the Moon.”
This could be interpreted as referencing the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which has not ended this year, with resources depleted and many casualties.
Some speculate that “Gallic brass” and the crescent moon may relate to France and Turkey, hinting at potential involvement.
Baba Vanga reportedly predicted that aliens would make contact with humans during a major sporting event, which has yet to occur.
Finally, Nostradamus envisioned a “fireball” rising, signaling an apocalyptic end of the world involving “science and fate in a cosmic dance,” which fortunately hasn’t happened yet, though there’s still time left in 2025.
