Ciara and Russell Wilson are expecting their fifth child together.
The Grammy-winning singer, 40, and the retired NFL quarterback, 37, shared the news on Instagram Sunday with a video showing Ciara hanging white t-shirts on a clothesline for each family member, finishing with a tiny onesie for the new arrival. The couple both held up five fingers in a second clip, captioning the post, “One more person to Love 🖐🏽🥺🖤.”

The pregnancy marks the fourth child for Ciara and Wilson, who wed in England in July 2016. Their family includes daughter Sienna, born April 2017, son Win, born July 2020, and daughter Amora, born December 2023. Ciara also co-parents son Future, 11, from her previous relationship with rapper Future.

Wilson had been publicly campaigning for baby number five long before this announcement. At a Grammy Museum event celebrating Ciara’s “Cici” album in September 2025, the former Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos star turned to his wife and asked, “One of my all time favorite videos of you is ‘Ride.’ Speaking of riding, when is cinco coming?”

Ciara chided him at the time for turning what should have been “a private conversation” into a public moment. She later told the “Today” show that she needed “a little time” before expanding again, noting the family’s pattern: “My youngest is 1, so listen, there’s a trend with all of our babies –– they’re all three years apart. If it’s up to Russ, ‘cinco’ is coming next month.”
The quarterback’s eagerness started almost immediately after Amora’s birth. Ciara recalled that Wilson approached her “shortly after” their fourth child arrived and asked, “So, cinco?” She fired back, “Wait a minute now, like, slow it down, sir. We just had a baby here. Let’s be in this moment here, sir.”

She described the timing as “disrespectful,” though she said this “in a laughing way.” Still, Ciara left the door open even then, telling the outlet, “Listen, I will say this. I love being a mom. It’s my favorite job of all. And I couldn’t stand here and tell you, like, that I don’t see that happening one day in our lives to have cinco.”

She added, “Because why not, right?”
Wilson kept up his campaign on social media, writing via Instagram eight months after Amora’s birth that his wife looked “so crazy [good] she [was] ready to have another one.”

The couple’s announcement video shows a visibly pregnant Ciara smiling in a tank top with her hair up in rollers, the baby bump on full display as she clips the final onesie to the line. The playful energy between the longtime partners comes through as they flash five fingers for the camera, making good on months of Wilson’s very public hints.

Ciara’s journey to motherhood began in May 2014 when she and then-fiancé Future welcomed their son. She connected with Wilson the following year, and the two quickly built a blended family that has now grown to six members with this latest addition on the way. The three-year spacing between their children has held remarkably consistent, making this fifth pregnancy arrive right on schedule despite Ciara’s initial protests about slowing down.

Wilson, who retired from professional football in June, now turns his full attention to his growing family. The couple has not yet shared a due date or the sex of the baby.
