Presley Gerber was cremated within days of his death at a California rehab facility.
The 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, 59, and businessman Rande Gerber, 62, died Sunday at a treatment center in Santa Monica, California, according to his death certificate. The document shows he was cremated at Rose Family Funeral Home, reports said Friday.
Crawford and Rande Gerber plan to keep their son’s ashes at their Malibu, California, residence, the outlet noted.
An official cause of death has not been disclosed.
The Gerber family has not publicly commented on the cremation or memorial plans. Presley, the elder of Crawford and Gerber’s two children, worked as a model and photographer and had been open about his past struggles with mental health and substance use.
His younger sister, Kaia Gerber, 22, is also a model and has become a prominent figure in fashion campaigns and film roles in recent years.
The Santa Monica facility where Presley died has not been identified in available records. California state law requires death certificates to be filed within eight days of a death, though the document does not indicate who provided the information for its completion.
Rose Family Funeral Home, located in Southern California, handled the cremation services. The family has not announced any public memorial service.
Presley was born in July 1999 in Brentwood, California, and grew up in Malibu. He began modeling as a teenager, appearing in campaigns for major fashion brands and walking runways in New York and Europe. He also pursued tattoo artistry and photography, sharing his work on social media platforms.
In 2020, he spoke about his mental health journey in social media posts, at one point displaying a face tattoo reading “misunderstood” that he later had removed. His parents had supported his efforts to seek treatment during difficult periods.
Presley’s death came less than two weeks after his 27th birthday. He had posted on Instagram in the weeks prior, sharing photographs and casual updates with followers.
The family has not indicated whether additional memorial gatherings will take place or when a cause of death might be released by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
