Cole Sprouse shared his challenges working with Jennifer Aniston on Friends

Cole Sprouse has recently shared insights into the challenges he faced while filming scenes with Jennifer Aniston.

At the age of 32, Sprouse looks back on his time on Friends, where he was cast as Ross Geller’s son, Ben, during the show’s sixth season.

Sprouse joined the series when he was just seven years old, spending approximately two years on one of television’s most iconic sitcoms.

Reflecting on his experiences, Sprouse revealed a particular difficulty he encountered working alongside Aniston.

The issue stemmed from his childhood crush on Jennifer Aniston.

But what was the reason?

Sprouse mentioned that he was infatuated with Aniston, which made their scenes together challenging for him.

“I had a really, really hard time working with Aniston because I was so in love with her,” Cole told The New York Post.

“I was infatuated. I was speechless – I’d get all bubbly and forget my lines and completely blank. It was so difficult.”

Despite this, he managed to perform his role commendably.

He even helped his co-stars by reminding them of their lines on occasion.

In contrast, Jennifer Aniston has shared why she is hesitant to return to sitcoms.

During an interview on the SmartLess podcast, Aniston described Friends as her favorite job, much to the delight of the show’s fans.

She noted: “I would have to say that is number one.

“Every single day I miss the schedule of filming… it’s the best schedule ever on the planet.”

Her reluctance to join another sitcom is due to the unique and exceptional experience she had on Friends.

She explained: “If I knew it would be the same experience as I had with those guys, yes, but I doubt that will ever happen.”

The Internet is filled with observations about Friends, including moments missed during its original run and rediscovered years after the finale.

Fans have spotted instances where Matthew Perry almost broke character, noticed disappearing pies when Brad Pitt appeared, and even caught an extra chewing coffee.

Another notable moment involved Courtney Cox’s character being briefly replaced by a stand-in.

“I must’ve seen every Friends episode a million times and never noticed the world’s worst stand-in for Monica,” one viewer commented on X, sharing a clip of the switch between Cox and the stand-in when the camera angle shifted.
