Comments made by former Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider regarding Amanda Bynes have resurfaced after Bynes addressed recent online speculation about them.
Earlier this week, the star of *She’s The Man* clarified that a recent TikTok video alleging Schneider impregnated her when she was 13 was from a fan account, not an official one, and the claims were false.
This comes amid a broader controversy surrounding Schneider, with allegations about his conduct while producing shows for Nickelodeon in the 1990s and 2000s.
A 2024 Discovery documentary, *Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV*, featured interviews with individuals who worked with Schneider during that time.

The documentary included claims of racism, sexism, and inappropriate behavior towards young cast members.
Schneider addressed the controversy related to his relationship with Bynes on his YouTube channel, DanWarp, last year.
In a conversation with BooG!e, a former *iCarly* cast member, Schneider discussed how Bynes, at around 16 or 17, expressed a desire to gain independence from her parents.
According to Schneider, such discussions were not uncommon among young actors at that time.

He recounted that Bynes consulted her professional team, which included her agent, manager, publicist, and lawyer, but was ultimately unable to achieve her goal.
Schneider also mentioned an incident where Bynes reportedly tried to run away from home and reached out to him in distress after a disagreement with her parents.
Concerned for her safety, Schneider contacted someone to assist Bynes.

The individual Schneider reached out to ensured Bynes’ safety and ultimately took her to the police.
In his video, Schneider also addressed the allegations presented in the documentary.
“Watching [the documentary] over the past two nights was very difficult, me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret,” he admitted. “I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”
In 2024, a California judge ruled that Schneider could proceed with a defamation lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery and the producers of *Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV*.
