Dangers of Engaging in the ‘Hamstering’ Sex Trend That’s Stirring Unusual Imagery

A new adult craze is circulating that leaves many with unsettling thoughts and poses significant hazards.

Just when the internet seems to have reached its peak of bizarre and risky fads, TikTok users have introduced yet another viral trend.

Many are shocked after discovering a new sexual practice that even the ancient text Kama Sutra never envisioned.

Although car intimacy isn’t groundbreaking, individuals are reportedly pushing boundaries with a pose now known as ‘hamstering’. Thankfully, it doesn’t advocate for any harm to small animals.

The term ‘hamstering’ pertains to the odd and contorted position when engaging in the act.

As explained by content creator @jenn_nniffer, who provided a rather PG demonstration in her vehicle, ‘hamstering’ involves a male individual positioning themselves on the car’s roof and letting their genitalia hang through the sunroof.

The partner inside the car then reaches upward to perform oral sex, akin to how a hamster sips from a water bottle.

Cybersecurity expert Robert Siciliano has highlighted the dangers associated with this act.

He mentions how terms like ‘hamstering’ and ‘thirsty hamster’ have gained massive traction online, garnering ‘millions of views.’

“Viral content doesn’t mean safe content,” he emphasized. “Many users, especially teens, are influenced by what’s trending without questioning the danger.”

Furthermore, certain car brands, such as Tesla, have released warnings about ‘internal injury’ risks from activities like hamstering. According to VICE, the company advises against placing body parts through the sunroof due to apparent risks like ‘flying debris’ and ‘tree branches’.

Manufacturers likely never foresaw needing to caution about potential genitalia-related accidents, which could occur if the roof inadvertently closes or if the handbrake is engaged during the act.

Jennifer also pointed out challenges with the position, notably its physical strain unless both parties are well-versed in activities like yoga or acrobatics.

She warned that the car’s paint might suffer damage from belt buckles and similar objects.

Additionally, many who promote this trend seem to overlook strict US indecent exposure laws, where violations can lead to misdemeanors or even felonies.

Possible incarceration spans from six months to a year in numerous US states and extends to two years in Pennsylvania, as per Justia, and as short as 180 days in Texas.

Furthermore, places like California mandate those convicted of indecent exposure to register as a sex offender.

In light of these factors, it hardly seems worthwhile.
