Charlie Cox is the latest celebrity to show fans that he’s not one to shy away from controversy. When asked about the criticism surrounding Daredevil’s “walk of shame” scene with She-Hulk, Cox simply shrugged it off with a friendly response: “If She-Hulk’s not your thing, then don’t watch it. Watch something else.”
Cox’s response to the issue has only further cemented his image as an unbothered good-guy. He’s not taking the criticism personally, as the scene in question is a part of the show he is acting in rather than producing himself.
Charlie Cox, who recently starred in the Netflix series “Daredevil”, has revealed that his part in the show was never meant to be the main focus. Instead, Cox says he felt it was his job to stay true to the character and help contribute to the tone of the show.
In the series, Cox’s character Matt Murdock is shown living in LA, enjoying his job as a lawyer, and having a fling with a beautiful and charismatic lawyer, before they go on to do some superhero work.
He mentioned that while the Netflix series took a more serious tone, the new series may take a more comedic approach. Cox affirmed that the new take on the character was out of his hands and that he was just there to do what was asked of him.
He also noted that with comics, plotlines and characterization can be wildly indistinct, so this new arc for Daredevil is another addition. For those who aren’t a fan of the new approach, Cox reminded that the character will be getting his own show in a year.
