Dave Grohl called Jordyn Blum his ‘future ex-wife’ upon their first meeting

Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters has recently grabbed headlines again due to resurfaced comments about his wife, Jordyn Blum, following his admission of infidelity and fathering a child outside his marriage.

Grohl, who is 55 years old, had previously hinted at potential issues in his relationship with Blum, even before they encountered their current troubles. He had once referred to Blum as his “future ex-wife,” a remark that has now gained renewed attention.

In a candid Instagram post, Grohl confessed to cheating on his 48-year-old wife and having a secret child.

He stated: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.

“We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

As this controversy unfolds, Grohl’s past comment about Blum has resurfaced on social media. He recalled the moment they first met in an interview with Q Magazine.

Grohl detailed their first encounter, saying it happened “one night in 2001” when he and fellow band member Taylor Hawkins were at the Sunset Marquis whiskey bar. Grohl noted that Hawkins was usually the center of female attention.

He continued: “Taylor [Hawkins, fellow Foo Fighter] and I were hanging out at the Sunset Marquis whiskey bar. Taylor was the looker. I mean, girls would send him drinks.

“Some bombshell comes up and starts talking to Taylor. I was just out of a Tenacious D session. I’ve got Vans trainers on, no socks, dirty shorts and a dirty T-shirt, surrounded by beautiful Hollywood. She waved her friend Jordyn over. I was like, ‘Oh my God. Not a chance!’

“So I’m just having some drinks and acting like a jacka**. And by the end of the night I was pissed and I’m staring at her going, ‘You’re my future ex-wife’. So she gave me her number: ‘Jordyn, your future ex-wife’.”

After their initial meeting, they saw each other “a few times,” but Grohl hesitated, realizing he wasn’t ready for a serious commitment. He elaborated in a 2007 interview with ELLE that he “just stopped calling” Blum.

However, after “three months,” Grohl had a change of heart and reached out to her again.

The future of their relationship remains uncertain, especially in light of recent events. According to US Weekly, their daughters Violet and Harper have deactivated their social media accounts.
