Decomposing Body Discovered in Trunk of Abandoned Tesla Allegedly Linked to US Singer

The authorities encountered a disturbing scene when they were summoned to inspect a vehicle that had been impounded.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) received a report about an unpleasant odor emanating from a black Tesla at an impound lot in Hollywood on Monday, September 8.

The car had reportedly been parked at the lot for a few days. Upon investigation, the officers opened the Tesla’s front trunk and found a body concealed in a plastic bag.

Details regarding the identity of the deceased individual and the cause of death are yet to be disclosed.

Although the victim’s identity remains unknown, reports suggest that the 2023 Tesla is linked to David Anthony Burke, also known as the singer d4vd.

However, the police have not verified the ownership of the vehicle.

In a statement given to LADBible Group, the LAPD remarked: “On 9/8/25 around 12:20 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Mansfield Avenue for a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a tow yard.

“Detectives responded and located possible human remains. It is currently a death investigation. We do not have information on the owner of the vehicle.”

Meanwhile, singer d4vd is currently engaged in his Withered world tour and continues to update his social media in light of the recent grim discovery.

In his latest Instagram post, he hinted at his forthcoming album ‘Withered Deluxe: Marcescence’, slated for release on September 19.

Accompanying the album artwork, D4vd shared with his 2,000,000 followers: “Every song written exclusively by me on my phone baby, this is a passion project i put together to make sure i didn’t lose the raw emotional weight my music carries and how much it means to u all. Thank you to all the friends who collaborated with me on this everyone ATE THEIR VERSES UP.”

LADBible group have reached out to d4vd’s representatives for a statement.
