Denzel Washington lauded for his heartfelt reply to aspiring actress seeking assistance in touching video

Denzel Washington is being celebrated for his thoughtful response to an aspiring actress seeking guidance.

Although we already admire the Gladiator II star, a recently circulated video adds to his admirable reputation.

The footage shows a woman in Manhattan, New York, approaching Washington as he enters the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.

She inquires if he has any advice for “actors that are fighting out here to get work.”

Capturing the interaction on camera, Washington responds, “Come inside here.”

The video concludes as he suggests she put down the phone, and then resumes with another segment where someone else records them, seemingly with Washington’s consent.

With his arm around the emotional woman and addressing the camera, he remarks, “Why you crying, girl? I’m regular people just like you.”

He then shares a warm hug with her. Heartwarming indeed!

The touching moment has sparked discussions online, with many commending Washington for sparing time for the aspiring actress who approached him.

“My HEART is FULL,” a TikTok user commented — one of several platforms where the clip has been shared.

“That’s why I love that man his character is everything,” another person noted.

On Twitter, a user shared, “Denzel seems like an all around good man. Legendary actor.”

Someone else added, “Denzel, always got an encouraging word! My fav actor.”

“Denzel Washington is such a class act. I really admire the man,” another gushed.

Comments also described him as a ‘saint’, ‘legend’, and the ‘GOAT’.

This isn’t the first occasion where Washington has offered advice to others.

London-based content creator Chewkz had the chance to speak with the two-time Oscar winner during what appeared to be the UK premiere of Gladiator II.

When Chewkz explained he was a content creator, Washington advised, “You can’t learn to be an actor online. You’ve got to get on the stage.

“Find a little theatre. Anything. [Even] if you’re just a guy holding a spear at the back of the thing. You got to get on stage.”

Washington continued, “That’s where I started. If you want what I got, do what I did.”

As their conversation wrapped up, he concluded, “I’ll see you at work.”

If Denzel Washington said that to me, I think I’d be over the moon.
