A private investigator has revealed some behaviors that could indicate your partner is being unfaithful.
In relationships, dealing with infidelity is often one of the toughest hurdles for couples to face. Cheating might occur when a relationship is already struggling, serving as a symptom of underlying issues, or it might happen unexpectedly without any apparent reason.
It’s important to note that there are varying levels of cheating. A spontaneous, regrettable kiss at a holiday party is not the same as a prolonged affair involving intricate deception.
Regardless of the type, any form of infidelity breaches the trust within a relationship, making it challenging for a couple to recover, if they can at all.
A private investigator has now provided some insights to LADBible Stories on indicators that someone may be cheating.
Mike LaCorte, a private investigator with three decades of expertise, mentioned that despite common beliefs, ‘matrimonial cases’ are not his primary line of work.
However, he did highlight some signs that may suggest a partner is being unfaithful. So, what should you look out for?
LaCorte pointed out that a major indicator is any deviation from your partner’s usual behavior within the relationship.
“You need to go back historically and your interaction with your partner,” he explained. “And if there’s a change then there could be something going on.”
But how do these changes manifest?
“One is more secrecy over her devices, her phones, was the phone left around?” he said. “Were her comms devices left openly available for anyone to look at historically? Has that changed?”
Another potential sign is if your partner has undergone a noticeable transformation in their appearance.
“There could be some more care in personal appearance,” LaCorte noted. “New clothes, exercise activity, any type of personal appearance drastic improvement and change.”
LaCorte emphasized one particular behavior as a significant warning sign.
“The biggest one for me is unaccountable time,” he said.
He elaborated: “If there are period of unaccountable time during the working week or the week where you have those timings have changed where you’ve no idea where your partner is, they’re coming back late.”
“Any of these unaccountable time windows that weren’t there during the relationship before.”
Of course, these signs don’t definitively prove infidelity. There might be innocent explanations, such as planning a surprise, adopting a healthier lifestyle, or taking on a new job with longer hours. However, if you’re feeling suspicious, these behaviors could be early indicators worth considering.
