A woman who was once a fan of the convicted pedophile rockstar Ian Watkins has shared how he ‘exploited’ her when she was a teenage mother with a ‘sickening’ request.
On Saturday (October 11), Watkins was fatally stabbed by other prisoners in his cell at HMP Wakefield.
The disgraced singer had been serving a 29-year prison sentence after being found guilty of multiple sex offenses, including crimes against children, in 2015.
The 48-year-old had completed 12 years of his sentence when his throat was slashed, allegedly by Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43. These individuals have now been charged with Watkins’ murder. He died on the spot due to blood loss.
Following the global news of his death, more alleged victims of the notorious sex offender have come forward with their stories.
Recently, speaking to The Sun, a healthcare assistant recounted how she interacted with Watkins on social media when she was just 17.
Although she once regarded him as her ‘idol,’ Hannah said she continues to have nightmares about their interactions.
“He used to ask me to go on the webcam. At one point I did and he was there and I panicked so I shut it off.
“He then messaged me again and asked me to go on the webcam naked,” she shared.
But his disturbing behavior didn’t stop there, as she alleged he then focused on her infant daughter.
“He asked if me and my daughter could come and meet him – in my head I thought ‘no, I’m not doing that’,” Hannah explained to the publication.
She continued, “He asked if my baby would be able to call him dad.
“He asked me if we could be used as sex slaves.
“Not long after that he was arrested and then everything came out.”
The former fan revealed that the experience still haunts her today, saying, “I didn’t realise how much it has affected me – it’s really really bad.
“It’s sickening really – it makes me physically sick.”
Watkins’ heinous acts were exposed in 2013, when he admitted to several horrific child sex abuse crimes, including attempting to rape a fan’s 11-month-old baby and plotting to rape another child.
He was caught on video attempting to rape a child twice, and authorities discovered 90 abuse images on his hard drives, with 24 classified as the most severe at level five.
In recent updates, one woman who allowed Watkins to abuse her baby has made a renewed plea for release from her prison cell.
Her identity remains undisclosed to protect her child, and she received a 17-year sentence for enabling the abuse.
