Diddy’s legal representative has attempted to clarify the presence of a large quantity of baby oil at the rapper’s residence.
According to prosecutors, Homeland Security discovered 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant at the home of Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs.
Since the rapper’s arrest at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, New York, 10 days ago (September 16), numerous details have surfaced, but this might be the most unusual. A grand jury has since indicted him.
The 54-year-old has been charged with racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, charges to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Marc Agnifilo, his attorney, continues to assert that the arrest and charges are ‘unjust’. He emphasized that his client is ‘not a criminal’ and is eager to clear his name in court.
Authorities had previously raided the hip-hop mogul’s homes in Los Angeles, California, and Miami, Florida, back in March ‘as part of an ongoing investigation’.
Agnifilo explained to the New York Post the reason federal prosecutors disclosed that 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube were found during these raids.
“I don’t think it was 1,000. I think it was a lot. I mean, there is a Costco right down the street. I think Americans buy in bulk, as we know,” he said.
“And you know these are consensual adults doing what consensual adults do, you know, we can’t get so puritanical in this country to think that somehow sex is a bad thing because if it was there would be no more people.”
Speaking to the publication on Saturday outside the Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where the rapper is currently detained awaiting trial, Agnifilo addressed the ‘freak off’ sex parties that Diddy reportedly hosted.
Several allegations in the 14-page indictment pertain to these parties.
The lawyer commented: “Back when I was a kid in the late ’70s, they were called threesomes.”
Prosecutors allege that Combs would threaten, coerce, and even abuse women ‘to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct’.
If convicted on all charges, Diddy could face up to 15 years in prison.
A trial date has yet to be set.
