Disney unveils initial teaser for live-action Lilo & Stitch remake

The teaser trailer for Disney’s live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch has been released, and fans are eagerly anticipating the film’s debut.

Many of us fondly remember the original Lilo & Stitch from our childhoods, and for those who have wished to see a CGI version of Stitch alongside live actors, the wait is nearly over.

The original Lilo & Stitch premiered in 2002, gaining such popularity that it spawned a television series, a follow-up film, and two additional shorts. However, the series concluded after only two seasons.

Disney enthusiasts have long hoped for its return.

Chris Sanders, the character’s creator since 1985, will once again provide the voice for Stitch, and Zach Galifianakis is also set to star as Jumba.

The movie is scheduled for release in theaters on May 23, 2025, and fans are eagerly counting down the days.

One commenter remarked: “This is about to make way too much money.”

Another fan noted: “I LOVE how this is homaging Moana and the original teaser trailer for the animated film, with Stitch crashing into the other Disney movies! I hope the marketing leans even more into that.”

A third fan expressed: “He actually looks really good, and sounds pretty damn good as well!”

Others were impressed by the high-definition appearance of Stitch.

“HE LOOKS PERFECT MAN,” someone shared.

Another person commented: “Stitch actually looks great.”

Bring on 2025!
