A doctor who claims to have experienced death and returned to life has shared insights into his journey and how his perspective has evolved since then.
Encounters with near-death experiences have been a part of human history for as long as we’ve been aware of our own mortality.
While many have had such experiences, some individuals have ventured closer to the brink than others, and they firmly believe they have glimpsed what lies beyond.
The nature of these experiences can differ greatly, and Dr. Rajiv Parti, the chief anesthesiologist at Bakersfield Heart Hospital in California, recalls his vivid journey to hell and his encounter with God.
Dr. Parti’s heart ceased functioning due to complications during a prostate cancer operation in 2008, when he was 51 years old.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, he recounted: “I heard screams of pain and anguish. I was drawn in, as if on a moving pavement, to the edge of a flaming canyon. Smoke filled my nostrils, and with it the sickening odor of burning flesh. I knew then that I was on the lip of hell.”
He also mentioned hearing a voice condemning him for leading a ‘materialistic’ life.
In another interview, Parti, who identified as a Hindu, expressed his surprise when he was guided through a tunnel by two biblical angels, Michael and Raphael.
This experience occurred before he encountered God and witnessed a replay of his life, highlighting the consequences of his actions on others.
In a video on YouTuber Nicholas John’s channel, author John Burke discussed the significance of Parti’s experience.
Burke stated: “Rajiv is a Hindu and yet, the same God of light, same life review, and at another point, he later asks this God of light, ‘Who are you Lord?’”
“Out of the light steps a man in a robe with a gold sash and a beard, and he says to him, ‘I’m Jesus, your savior.'”
Upon regaining consciousness, Parti decided to transform his life, leaving his role as chief anesthesiologist to embark on a new path.
In a video on his YouTube channel, he explained his decision to resign: “My colleagues, when I told them I wanted to resign… were shocked.
“But the best way I could explain it is that I would need to follow my purpose, my soul contract. They were shocked but I didn’t care.
“I had felt the power, the source, my own heart calling me the divine being, the divine light being and the instructions were very vivid in my mind.
“That I need to follow my dharma, to help people with the diseases of the soul and help them transform to find the purpose of life which is peace, love and joy.”
