Dog David Robinson, the co-star of The Bounty Hunter, died suddenly in his wife’s arms at age 50 after suffering a ‘stroke or heart attack while on a work Zoom call.
His wife, Brooke Robinson, revealed his death on Wednesday, November 30th, at their California home.
It read: ‘David was very healthy and was on a work call in our dining room at home when he collapsed. Life-saving maneuvers were attempted, and paramedics were called. David died in my arms.’
Early reports said that David, who got a poignant homage from Dog, had ‘appeared to have a heart attack or stroke,’ but Brooke shot down those allegations, saying, ‘The rumors of a heart attack and stroke have already been ruled out.’
Brooke, who married David in May, said, ‘We ask again for time and space to grieve for the lost husband, father, brother and friend.’
Robinson co-starred with Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman in Dog’s Most Wanted, aired on WGN in 2019 for a single season.
Robinson’s ex-wife Rainy, who also participated in the show, confirmed that David suffered a medical issue while on a Zoom conversation. After arriving on the site, police and paramedics attempted CPR but were unsuccessful.
‘I’m startled and grieved by the tragic passing of David Robinson, my right-hand man of many years,’ Chapman said of his former co-star. Until our paths cross again, brother.’
