Donald Trump has issued a fierce response following the release of a new poll that highlights American public opinion on his presidency, five months after he assumed the role once more.
Taking office as the 47th President of the United States in January, Trump vowed to take a distinct approach compared to Joe Biden, his predecessor.
Since re-entering the Oval Office, the Republican leader has implemented several changes, some of which have sparked significant debate.
One such measure is Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill,’ which resulted in a very public disagreement with Elon Musk, who described the legislation as an ‘abomination.’
In addition, anti-ICE demonstrations have erupted in Los Angeles, while escalating tensions between Israel and Iran have prompted Trump’s involvement in the Middle East conflict.
A series of opinion polls have been released in recent weeks, evaluating Trump’s performance on various issues such as the economy, immigration, and foreign policy.
A recent poll by Fox News indicates that 46 percent of respondents approve of Trump’s immigration policies, while 53 percent disapprove.
Regarding foreign policy, 43 percent of those surveyed support Trump’s international approach, whereas 57 percent express disapproval.
Participants in the poll also expressed dissatisfaction with Trump’s management of the economy and inflation, areas where he had previously found success during his first term.
Reacting to the poll results on Fox News, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to express his criticism.
Trump wrote: “The Crooked FoxNews Polls got the Election WRONG, I won by much more than they said I would, and have been biased against me for years. They are always wrong and negative. It’s why MAGA HATES FoxNews, even though their anchors are GREAT.
“This has gone on for years, but they never change the incompetent polling company that does their work. Now a new FoxNews poll comes out this morning giving me a little more than 50% at the Border, and yet the Border is miraculously perfect, NOBODY WAS ABLE TO COME IN LAST MONTH.
“60,000 people came in with Sleepy Joe in the same month last year. I hate FAKE pollsters, one of the Worst, but Fox will never change their discredited pollster!”
However, the Fox News poll did offer some positive results for Trump, with 53 percent of respondents approving of his handling of border security, compared to 46 percent who disapproved.
The survey, as reported by Fox News, included interviews with a random national sample of 1,003 registered voters.
