Donald Trump Frequently Mentioned in Newly Released Epstein Files by Attorney General

President Donald Trump’s name has surfaced in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet, appearing on the flight log seven times.

Yesterday (February 27), US Attorney General Pam Bondi fulfilled her commitment by releasing classified files related to the convicted sex offender, shedding new light on the president’s association with Epstein.

It’s important to recognize that being mentioned in the list does not necessarily suggest any misconduct.

Although Trump did take several flights on Epstein’s plane, this occurred before allegations of sex trafficking arose and prior to Epstein acquiring his notorious Caribbean island in the US Virgin Islands.

The release of this 200-page dossier follows Trump’s earlier statement on Lex Fridman’s podcast, where he indicated he would have ‘no problem’ declassifying the documents.

The publicly available files reveal little additional information, as it was already well-known that Trump had traveled on Epstein’s private jet. However, Bondi emphasized that this was only the ‘first phase’ of document releases.

An analysis by People magazine indicates that Trump was listed on the flight logs on seven occasions, including a trip in May 1994 with his then-wife Marla Maples and daughter Tiffany.

The logs show he traveled with ‘JE’ – Epstein – in 1993 and 1994 and with ‘GM’ – likely Ghislaine Maxwell – during the 1993 trip.

Throughout media coverage of the case, Trump has maintained he never went to Epstein’s private island.

He has also mentioned that their relationship soured around 2004, despite previously calling Epstein a ‘terrific guy’ in 2002. Epstein died by suicide in a jail cell in 2019.

In a statement issued yesterday (February 27), Bondi remarked: “This Department of Justice is following through on President Trump’s commitment to transparency and lifting the veil on the disgusting actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators.

“The first phase of files released today sheds light on Epstein’s extensive network and begins to provide the public with long overdue accountability.”

The documents released include Epstein’s flight logs, an ‘evidence list’ of items found at his properties in New York and the private island, a fully redacted masseuse list to protect victims’ anonymity, and a heavily redacted ‘black book’ of contacts.
