Donald Trump has declared a significant cash bonus for over a million Americans during a televised address on Thursday evening.
Broadcasted live from the White House, the President took the opportunity to reflect on his 11 months in office, promptly highlighting his achievements and emphasizing their future impact on Americans.
In the address, Trump announced a $1,776 ‘warrior dividend’ for active military personnel this holiday season, mentioning that the checks are already ‘on the way’ and will be received within days.
“Military service members will receive a special — we call Warrior Dividend — before Christmas, in honor of our nation’s founding in 1776,” Trump stated.
This initiative is part of several financial incentives aimed at specific voter groups, seeking to improve the President’s declining polling numbers in recent weeks.
The financial boost is likely to be appreciated by many families, as the nation continues to grapple with the impact of inflation—an issue Trump attributed entirely to his predecessor, Joe Biden.
Trump blamed Biden for numerous issues affecting the country, citing increased immigration, stagnant wages, soaring pharmaceutical costs, and a deteriorating economy.
“11 months ago, I inherited a mess, and I’m fixing it,” Trump remarked. “When I took office, inflation was the worst in 48 years, and some would say in the history of our country, which caused prices to be higher than ever before, making life unaffordable for millions and millions of Americans.”
Despite blaming the Democrats, Trump did hint at his strategies to address these problems, highlighting the country’s accomplishments under his administration.
One of his proposed solutions to aid Americans is to significantly reduce prescription drug costs by as much as ‘600 percent’, which he claims is achievable due to the success of his tariffs.

“I’m doing what no politician of either party has ever done, standing up to the special interests of dramatically reducing the price of prescription drugs,” he informed Americans.
“I negotiated directly with the drug companies and foreign nations who were taking advantage of our country for many decades to slash prices on drugs by as much as 400, 500, or 600 percent.”
“In other words, your drug costs will be plummeting downwards. I used the threat of foreign tariffs on countries who would never have done it, to pay the cost of this giant dollar reduction. They stopped ripping us off and it began as of four days ago.”
The average American spends $1,200 to $1,400 dollars annually on medication, so the proposed reduction could mean substantial savings if implemented successfully.
