Donald Trump has lauded Nicki Minaj, expressing his admiration for the rapper and complimenting her ‘beautiful’ skin.
During a speech at the White House for the Black History Month reception, Trump heaped praise on the ‘Bang Bang’ artist, particularly noting her appearance.
It seems the admiration is mutual between the two.
His glowing remarks came shortly after Minaj posted an AI-generated image of herself with Trump to celebrate Presidents’ Day on Monday, January 16.
The image depicted her in a convertible with the President while counting money, which sparked mixed reactions. Some criticized the tribute as ‘tacky’ and ‘cringe,’ while Trump supporters appreciated her show of support.
In his speech, Trump enthusiastically stated: “How about Nicki Minaj? Do we love Nicki Minaj? I love Nicki Minaj,” which was met with applause.

“She was here a couple weeks ago. She’s so beautiful, her skin is so beautiful,” he praised.
Trump recalled telling her, “I said, ‘Nicki, you’re so beautiful.’ Her nails are like that long, I said, ‘Nicki are they real?’” while gesturing to indicate long nails.
“She didn’t want to get into that. But she was so beautiful and so great and she gets it, more importantly,” Trump added.
In January, Minaj expressed her admiration for Trump after a meeting at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., calling herself his ‘number one fan’.
She proclaimed, “I am probably the president’s number one fan and that’s not going to change. What people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. And it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more.”

She further stated: “We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him. And you know, the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work. He has a lot of force behind him and God is protecting him.”
Minaj also opened up to podcaster Katie Miller, revealing Trump inspired her to be more vocal about her support for him: “Religious freedom is something that’s very important to me, but if I’m being honest, President Trump, when I saw how he was being treated, over and over and over, I just couldn’t handle it.”
“I felt that same, you know, a lot of that bullying in this man’s campaign, and all of the lying,” Minaj mentioned. “I felt that that had been done to me for so many years, and I was watching it in real time happen to someone else, and I didn’t think he deserved it. And it made me think, I can’t do this anymore.”
In December, Minaj surprised attendees at a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, Arizona, where she gave a speech and referred to Donald Trump and Vice-President JD Vance as ‘role models’.
