DoorDash driver discloses surprising earnings from a brief 15-minute drive as patrons request a single item

A DoorDash driver has shared her strategy for maximizing earnings by identifying a popular customer preference.

Amanda Solano, a travel enthusiast, has provided insights into her DoorDashing experience, which she relies on to cover her monthly rent.

The TikToker from Arizona meticulously tracks her daily earnings, fuel expenses, and the time taken to reach her financial goals on the platform.

Known on TikTok as @ourdisposablelife, Amanda, alongside her husband Isaiah, shares snippets of their life, including a crucial tip for enhancing her delivery efficiency.

In a viral video, Amanda mentioned she had just 13 days until rent was due and began her day driving around Phoenix at 8am.

“DoorDash is my only income at the moment,” she said, before adding that she was testing a new strategy based on her followers’ suggestions.

Her first order of the day took her to Black Rock Coffee Bar for a popular breakfast item.

Upon completing the delivery, Amanda noted: “That order was completed for $6.25… for only a coffee.”

Her sixth order brought another surprise, as she delivered a Wendy’s order over a distance of just over four miles in mere minutes.

“That order was completed for $12!” Amanda shared. “That was only like 15 minutes of driving, not even that bad.”

Throughout her day, the 27-year-old made several trips to and from Black Rock Coffee Bar, appreciating the drive-thru option for increased efficiency.

A double order from the coffeehouse added $8.50 to her daily earnings, completed in about ’20 ish minutes’.

By the end of her shift, Amanda completed 12 orders, covering more than 44 miles, and earned nearly $90.

She concluded the video by celebrating her new strategy for early morning DoorDash shifts, stating: “Okay I feel like you guys were onto something because I made $89.15 in four and a half hours, so I think I’m going to try a shift and start at like 5am in the morning and see what happens.”

In a follow-up video, Amanda tested her theory with a shift starting at 6.30am, spending $10 on gas.

After completing 13 orders in four hours, she earned $102.75, leaving her with $92.75 after gas expenses.

She calculated this to be ‘just over $21 an hour’, a notable figure compared to the state’s minimum wage, which increased to $14.70 in January this year.
