Drop Everything And Bake This Giant Oreo Cake Right Now

Have you ever thought to yourself “I’d like to eat an Oreo bigger than my head?”

We all have, and now, thanks to Japanese cooking channel Hey! It’s Mosogourmet, we can.

Aside from the ingredients, bowls, and a mixer, the only special equipment you need is a pair of sandwich-cookie shaped pans, like this:

While the oven pre-heats to 350F (177C), spray the baking pans with vegetable oil.

In a mixing bowl, combine 530 grams of cake flour, 100 grams of black cocoa powder, 70 grams of cocoa powder, and 16 grams of baking powder and mix well.

Beat 14 eggs in a bowl, then add 350 grams of sugar, a dab of salt, and 210 grams of vegetable oil.

Now, combine your dry ingredients with your egg mixture, and whisk. Then, add 140 grams of milk and mix again.

You’re going to need a VERY big bowl for this.

Next, pour the mixture into your cookie-shaped pans. Try to restrain yourself from eating all of the batter before baking.

But maybe just a little taste…

Bake for 40 minutes. When the cakes come out, you’ll need to slice the tops to make them perfectly flat.

And then, you’re probably going to need to eat what you cut off. You know, for quality assurance purposes.

Ready for the icing? Of course you are. Beat 400 milliliters of heavy whipping cream with 16 grams of sugar until it’s nice and thick.

You can’t make a giant Oreo without some regular Oreos, so crush up about 18 of them and add them to the icing.

And now, the finale. Spread the icing mixture between the giant cookie pieces, and try not to faint from sheer ecstasy.

Perfection.
