Simone Johnson, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s eldest daughter, has made her WWE debut.
After learning that the 21-year-old would be carrying on the family tradition, Simone signed with WWE in February 2020, but her debut was repeatedly postponed due to injuries.
She debuted her wrestling persona, Ava Raine, earlier this year. Simone made her NXT debut as a member of The Schism on Tuesday night.
“The love and acceptance I’ve received from the Schism [team] has defied any preconceived notions about who I’m supposed to be. This family rounds out my life. My name is Ava Raine “said the former Ambassador for the Golden Globes.
Simone is the sport’s first fourth-generation wrestler, succeeding her great-grandfather Peter Maivia, grandfather Rocky Johnson, and father, Dwayne. Lia Maivia, her great-grandmother, was one of the first female wrestling promoters.
