Ezra Sosa is speaking out after Britt Stewart’s shocking “Dancing With the Stars” elimination.
The 24-year-old pro dancer took to TikTok to vent his frustration after Stewart, 36, and her celebrity partner Taylor Hanson, 43, were sent home during Tuesday night’s “Yacht Rock Night” episode. Commenting on a fan video of the elimination moment, Sosa wrote bluntly, “I’m so pissed.”
Sosa wasn’t alone in his anger. Fans flooded X and other platforms to protest the judges’ decision, with one viewer writing, “Oh Ezra is PISSED. Poor Britt, she deserves better.” Another fired back, “Britt always gets robbed!” A third added, “This should have been her season. He did so much better than a few of the guys. Idk how he was sent home.”
The ousted couple had performed a foxtrot to “What a Fool Believes” for the themed evening, earning a score of 18 out of 30 from the judges. That total placed them in the bottom three alongside “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” personality Guillermo Rodriguez and pro Witney Carson, plus Savannah Bananas star Jackson Olson and pro Emma Slater. Hanson and Stewart ultimately drew the short straw.
During their final on-air moments, Stewart appeared visibly stunned when co-host Alfonso Ribeiro announced their names. She initially said, “Oh my God,” and placed her hand over her heart. As the news sank in, she repeatedly told Hanson, “I’m really sorry,” and was seen whispering something into his ear during their hug. One observant fan noted in the TikTok video that Stewart looked like she “was definitely holding back what she really wanted to say.”
Hanson, the 43-year-old musician, spoke warmly of his partner during his exit interview with co-host Julianne Hough.
“This has been everything,” he said. “This has been incredible. She’s shown me things I didn’t think were possible and I’m so grateful for this time. Amazing.”
Stewart, fighting back tears, returned the sentiment directly to her partner.
“Taylor, I am so grateful that I have you in my life,” she said. “Thank you so much for everything. Thank you.”
Sosa notably rushed to the ballroom floor to comfort Stewart and Hanson as soon as the cameras stopped, making him the first fellow contestant to reach them. The gesture underscored the tight bonds among this season’s cast, even as competitive tensions run high.
The episode’s nautical theme couldn’t save the duo from an early exit, despite Stewart’s reputation as one of the show’s most skilled female pros. Fans have long argued that she has been repeatedly underserved by the pairing and scoring process, a grievance that resurfaced with fresh intensity after Tuesday’s results.
The remaining couples will return to the ballroom next week as the competition continues.
