Dylan Sprouse has spoken about a frightening incident in which a stranger reportedly entered the Los Angeles property he shares with his wife, model Barbara Palvin — prompting her to call police.
On 17 April, the 33-year-old was reported to have tackled an alleged intruder and restrained him at gunpoint after Palvin alerted law enforcement about a possible burglary at their home.
Authorities said the LAPD received the call at around 12.30am, at which point Sprouse intervened.
His representative told Rolling Stone that Sprouse held the man until officers arrived. The Los Angeles Times also reported police believed the “creepy guy” had outstanding warrants.
Even so, Sprouse later suggested he wasn’t going to let the ordeal derail him.
When the couple attended the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere on Monday, April 20, they discussed the situation with E! News on the red carpet.

“I thought it was funny,” Sprouse said, explaining that he tends not to sit with moments like that for long.
He added: “This is really to my detriment but I’m really not a ‘too soon’ guy, in general.”
Sprouse also said he and Palvin try to find humor even when things are tense, telling the interviewer: “We’re laughing about things the moment they happen. You’ve got to have levity in life. Thankfully, no one was hurt and there was no more violence.”
Standing beside him, 32-year-old Palvin agreed: “We’re dealing with the trauma with jokes and fun and all that.”
“It’s all OK,” Sprouse insisted, while Palvin added: “We’re just happy to be here to watch [The Devil Wears Prada 2].”

While the couple appeared to be handling it calmly in public, concerned followers have been posting supportive messages across Sprouse’s social media.
One Instagram commenter wrote: “I heard what happened and I praise God you both are ok! Thankful God equipped you with quick reflexes to subdue your invader and protect your wife! Praying for you both!”
“God bless you and your family,” another added.
A third said: “Way to use that 2nd amendment & protect your wife and home! Glad yall are both safe!”
Elsewhere, viewers responding to the interview shared similar reactions, with one writing: “Love the way he took care of it, burgler didn’t even get into the house!”
Another person reflected on their own experience: “Our home was burglarized. Everything taken. Everything broken and opened and damaged. It’s a terrible feeling. You don’t want to leave but you can’t stay. I hope they find peace.”
