Eerie Last Messages from Woman Who Disappeared on ‘Bucket List’ Trip

A woman vanished after sending a distressing message, causing her family to report her missing.

Hannah Kobayashi was en route from her Maui, Hawaii residence to New York, with a stopover in Los Angeles.

Unfortunately, Hannah did not catch her connecting flight at LAX, and as a result, she never arrived in New York as scheduled.

Her family has since reported her missing, prompting the Los Angeles Police Department to initiate an inquiry into the 31-year-old’s disappearance.

Hannah’s father, Ryan Kobayashi, has traveled to Los Angeles to assist in the search, hoping to uncover more about Hannah’s situation.

He shared with Hawaii News Now: “We’re just trying to get us as much information as we can.”

“Want to get the word out… has anyone seen my daughter?”

Hannah’s phone was last located at LAX on Monday, November 11.

That day, she sent an alarming message to a friend, stating: “I got tricked pretty much into giving away all my funds for someone I thought I loved.”

The news outlet also reported that she expressed fear in another message.

Currently, Hannah’s phone cannot be tracked, appearing to have been turned off.

Sydni Kobayashi, Hannah’s sister, informed KHON: “We know her phone’s off because it goes straight to voicemail.”

“We’ve been trying to call and call and call, text. None of the texts are getting delivered. We can’t locate her phone.”

She also described Hannah’s last message as ‘cryptic’ and suggested it might not have been written by her sister.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to aid in the search for Hannah.

Emi Ko, a relative who organized the fundraiser, also has doubts about the final message and described it as ‘uncharacteristic’.

On the page, she wrote: “Hannah, our beloved family member and friend, is a warm, grounded, and wise soul who has touched the lives of so many. Her sudden disappearance has left all of us heartbroken and desperate to bring her home.”

“The last known contact with Hannah was an uncharacteristic text message sent on November 11th. Since then, her movements have been unclear, her phone has been shut off and her family and friends have been working tirelessly to retrace her steps.”

As of now, the fundraiser has collected $25,000, exceeding its initial goal of $10,000.
