Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus Take Major Step in Their Romance

Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus are moving in together in Los Angeles while she films her new series.

The British actress, 61, revealed on the “Off Air with Jane & Fi” podcast that the couple will share a home during production of Season 2 of the Peacock show “The ‘Burbs.” She expressed genuine enthusiasm for the arrangement, telling listeners she is excited for a “Californian winter” after years of full-time country living.

“I live full-time in the country. I only visit London when I have to,” Hurley said on the podcast. “I actually love winter at home — I love snuggling in front of the fire.”

The schedule shift will mean adjusting to earlier bedtimes for both. Hurley noted she likes turning in “quite early” when darkness falls around 4 p.m., while Cyrus, 65, “goes to bed extremely early.”

The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer has developed a deep attachment to Hurley’s English estate despite his Tennessee roots. She explained that he had only briefly visited the UK for tour stops before their relationship.

“He never spent any time here, just briefly on tour and stuff,” she said. “He spent most of the summer here last year, and on and off we were here this summer — we had to go to America quite a bit — and he loves it. Absolutely adores it.”

Cyrus’s preference for the English countryside stems partly from harsh American summers. Hurley detailed the contrast she believes he finds refreshing.

“They’re very hot and very humid and it rains a lot — so, for him to have our beautiful air and just the beauty of our countryside, I think is beautiful for him,” she shared.

The romance has progressed rapidly since the pair reconnected in February 2025 after first meeting on the set of the 2022 holiday film “Christmas in Paradise.” They went public on Easter Sunday of this year. The outlet exclusively reported earlier this month that the couple had become engaged, with Hurley spotted wearing a substantial diamond ring. Cyrus amplified the speculation with a cryptic ring emoji posted to Instagram on October 15, a post that earned a “like” from Hurley’s son Damian.

Hurley attributed the relationship’s smooth dynamic to their life stage. She contrasted it with her previous partnership with late cricketer Shane Warne, whose children were close in age to her own son.

“When I dated a previous boyfriend of mine, Shane [Warne] — who sadly, of course, isn’t with us anymore — he had three kids and they were all sort of the same age as Damian and then a few years above, but they were kids,” she said on the podcast.

“And now, Billy and I are empty nesters. All our children are independent and Damian is the youngest of all of them.”

Hurley’s son Damian, 24, is from her relationship with late ex Steve Bing. Cyrus has six children total, including pop superstar Miley Cyrus, 33, from his relationships with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey and ex-wife Tish Cyrus.

The couple’s domestic compatibility extends beyond sleeping schedules. Speaking to the outlet in May, Hurley emphasized their shared preference for rural over urban life.

“Funnily enough, [Billy’s] farm in Tennessee is very similar to my farm here in Gloucestershire, so in a way it kind of feels normal,” she explained.

In a June interview, Hurley described their established routine of splitting time between continents. “We split our time between Billy’s farm in Tennessee and my country house in England, with brief forays into Nashville and London,” she told the magazine.

“We both love the countryside, where I’m usually wielding power tools in the garden whilst Billy strums his guitar under a tree,” she added.

The couple’s upcoming Los Angeles cohabitation marks a new phase for two stars who have built their connection on parallel rural existences now temporarily relocated to a major city for work.
