Elliot Page reveals frequent intimate encounters with co-star during Juno filming

Elliot Page once recounted a behind-the-scenes twist while filming the cult classic Juno.

Juno catapulted Page into stardom when he starred in the film back in 2007.

The movie, which boasts an impressive 94 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, features Page’s character, Juno, navigating teenage pregnancy and deciding to place the baby up for adoption.

The actor, who has also been featured in Umbrella Academy and the X-Men films from the 2000s, authored a memoir about his life last year titled Pageboy.

In the memoir, Page revealed an off-screen romance he had with one of his co-stars.

“I was taken aback the moment I saw Olivia Thirlby. She seemed so much older, capable, and centered,” Elliot wrote, even though they were the same age.

“Sexually open, far removed from where I was at the time. But the chemistry was palpable, it pulled me in.”

Thirlby played Leah, Juno’s friend, who shares several scenes with Page’s character.

Their connection extended beyond the screen, as he wrote they spent a great deal of time together.

They described how Thirlby ‘looked directly at me and said point-blank: “I’m really attracted to you”‘.

“At that, we started sucking face,” he writes in Pageboy. “It was on. I had an all-encompassing desire for her, she made me want in a way that was new, hopeful. It was one of the first times someone would make me c*m, the first time I would open up.”

Elliot said they would have sex ‘all the time’, and even in creative places.

“Her hotel room, in our trailers at work, once in a tiny, private room in a restaurant,” he said. “We thought we were being subtle.

“Being intimate with Olivia helped my shame dissipate. I didn’t see a glint of it in her eyes and I wanted that — done feeling wretched about who I am.”

UNILAD has contacted Thirlby’s management for comment.

Elsewhere in the memoir, Page also discussed his relationship with Kate Mara, who was with The Social Network star Max Minghella when Page caught feelings.

The relationship began in 2014 while Page was filming the superhero movie X-Men: Days of Future Past.

“The first person I fell for after my heart was broken was Kate Mara,” Page writes in his book per PEOPLE.

“She had a boyfriend at the time, the lovely and talented Max Minghella.”

It remains unclear whether there was any overlap between Mara’s relationship with Minghella and Page. However, the Umbrella Academy star mentioned that Mara told him: “I never thought I could be in love with two people and now I know I can.”
