Forbes’ list of the affluent ranks the 53-year-old with a staggering net worth of $315.7 billion. Following him is another American, Larry Ellison of Oracle, with $233.2 billion… notably, nine out of the ten wealthiest individuals worldwide hail from the United States.
Recently, President-Elect Donald Trump appointed Musk, alongside former Republican candidate and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, to lead a new Department of Government Efficiency.
In a social media announcement, Trump introduced the department, emphasizing its mission to ‘dismantle Government Bureaucracy’ and ‘slash excess regulations.’
“I am pleased to announce that the Great Elon Musk, working in conjunction with American Patriot Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the Department of Government Efficiency (‘DOGE’),” Trump declared. The department’s acronym interestingly references a well-known internet meme and a cryptocurrency linked to Musk.
Recently, an image surfaced online showing Musk, Trump, Trump’s new health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. all enjoying a meal from McDonald’s.
The photo caught significant attention due to Musk’s peculiar way of eating his fries from the fast-food chain.
Instead of dipping each fry individually into sauce, he poured the sauce directly onto the fries… which aligns with the efficiency theme he might bring to the US government’s new department.
However, considering they were on a private plane, there didn’t seem to be any urgency in their meal timing – one might wonder if their food was even warm.
Their dining habits sparked a flurry of reactions on Twitter, Musk’s own social media platform, with the Tesla CEO facing some criticism for his McDonald’s etiquette.
One user commented: “Ketchup straight in the box from Musk. Not even a little bit to dip on the side. Just straight in grabbing sauce drenched chips. Psycho.”
Another remarked: “Elon that’s not how you put ketchup on French fries wtf is wrong with you lol.”
