Elon Musk faces backlash over alarming war forecast in tweet, prompting calls for government action

Elon Musk has come under fire for allegedly trying to provoke unrest in the UK following his alarming predictions of a civil war.

This year has been particularly eventful for the wealthiest individual on the planet.

Elon Musk took on the role of head at the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) at the beginning of the year. However, his tenure was short-lived as he resigned dramatically after a public dispute with President Donald Trump.

During this time, Musk controversially alleged that President Trump’s name was in the redacted Epstein documents. Ironically, Musk’s own name surfaced, although he strongly denies any misconduct.

Despite stepping back from political roles, Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has stirred the pot by forecasting a civil war in the UK, not as a possibility, but as an inevitability.

The SpaceX leader has frequently criticized British politics, targeting Prime Minister Keir Starmer and labeling safeguarding minister Jess Phillips as a ‘rape genocide apologist’.

Now, his recent comments have sparked another wave of controversy – though it seems Musk is unfazed.

“Civil war in Britain is inevitable. Just a question of when,” he declared to his 228.5 million followers on X.

The comment alludes to the mounting political tensions and intense discussions surrounding immigration, but many Brits have been quick to dispute Musk’s claims.

A commenter added: “It seems you have not been in Britain lately. It is ridiculous to make such wild and unfounded claims about a civil war, and it undermines your credibility on all levels. Britain is doing fine.”

Another person commented: “It doesn’t matter how many times you assert this Elon, you won’t make it happen.”

Someone else responded: “No one in Britain has guns and the left/right divide is basically conservative retirees vs everyone else. You could end the kind of civil war Musk wants with a stiff breeze.”

While some see Musk’s remarks as typical online antics, others worry that when someone with his platform makes such statements, the repercussions might not be benign.

On Reddit, a user questioned the UK government’s response to Musk’s provocations.

Commenting on his actions, they wrote: “How is this okay and why isn’t our government doing more to address this type of incitement?”

Musk’s political endeavors appear to continue, as he’s previously indicated intentions to start his own ‘America Party’ to rival both major US parties.

Regarding the likelihood of a civil war in the UK, it seems highly improbable.
