There has been widespread discussion about a viral image of Elon Musk following his recent call for President Donald Trump to face impeachment.
Over the last week, the once amicable relationship between Trump and Musk has drastically deteriorated.
Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, recently resigned from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and has since made several startling allegations against Trump.
Musk has not only mentioned Trump in connection with the Jeffrey Epstein files but has also advocated for his impeachment.
In a tweet, Musk appeared to support another Twitter user’s suggestion that Trump should be impeached and that his vice president, JD Vance, should assume the presidency.
The user stated: “President vs Elon. Who wins? My money’s on Elon. Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him.”
Musk retweeted the post, adding a simple ‘yes’ in agreement.
In light of this falling out, a photo of Musk from a few months prior has resurfaced, attracting attention.
In the picture, Musk is seen wearing a hat that proclaims: “Trump was right about everything.”
People noted the irony, commenting on how the photo did not age well.
On Reddit, one person remarked: “This aged well.”
Another added: “Aged like a fine milk.”
The discord seems to have originated from Musk’s critique of Trump’s ‘big beautiful bill.’ Notably, the bill proposes no tax on Social Security, and no tax on overtime and tips.
In the midst of Musk and Trump’s ongoing disagreement, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has addressed the issue, describing Musk’s criticism of the President as an ‘unfortunate episode.’
In a conversation with CNN, Leavitt expressed: “This is an unfortunate episode from Elon, who is unhappy with the One Big Beautiful Bill because it does not include the policies he wanted.”
She added: “The President is focused on passing this historic piece of legislation and making our country great again.”
Leavitt elaborated on the issue during an appearance on Fox News’ Hannity.
When questioned about the rising tensions, she said: “Just days ago, Elon thanked the president for his incredible leadership to cut waste and fraud in our government, which this one big beautiful bill does.”
She further explained: “The only difference between Friday and today is Elon went back to his companies and as a businessman, he has a right to speak for his companies, but as president, President Trump has a responsibility to fight for this country.”
