Ashley St. Clair claims Elon Musk cut her monthly child support to $20,000 after she went public with their son.
St. Clair, 28, made the allegation in the new documentary “Musk,” which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. The former conservative influencer says the Tesla CEO initially paid her $100,000 a month plus offered a $15 million lump sum — but only if she signed a non-disclosure agreement that would have kept their relationship hidden.
She previously said she could not sign the NDA “in good conscience.” She also said she rejected the deal because she did not want her newborn, Romulus St. Clair, to “feel like he’s a secret.”
In the documentary, St. Clair claims Musk, 55, first reduced her payments to $40,000 a month when she refused the NDA. After she publicly revealed their son in February 2025, she alleges he cut them again to $20,000.
“He was responding to my posts frequently. One day, he responded to one of my Mother’s Day posts [and said] that I should have more children,” St. Clair says in the film. “We should have a kid. You should have so many more kids. You should have 10 kids.”
She recalls eventually asking him, “Well, what does that look like?”
St. Clair says their relationship began in 2023 when Musk started interacting with her on X, formerly Twitter. She claims he presented himself as a “good dad” who had an “amicable” relationship with the mothers of his other children.
“He was kind,” she says in the documentary. “It was almost as if he didn’t show a certain side of himself until after I had our baby.”
St. Clair had previously revealed in a TikTok video that “things started getting weird” between her and Musk once she became pregnant.
The documentary also features St. Clair’s claim that Musk may have more children than the public knows about. She says other women contacted her after he had been “DMing” them and allegedly “offering them children.”
“There was a woman in Japan who just wanted, basically, sperm donation that he obliged,” she says. “It’s like a Gatling gun of sperm in his DMs.”
At the Venice premiere, St. Clair also claimed Musk sent her a text message before she gave birth saying he wanted a “legion of children before the civil war.”
Musk has not publicly addressed the specific child support allegations in the documentary. He previously claimed he had paid St. Clair $2.5 million and said he was “not against finding out” whether he was Romulus’s father.
St. Clair’s legal team has alleged in their ongoing custody battle that the dispute led Musk to “substantially” reduce his financial support, leaving her facing eviction.
The child support dispute is not Musk’s only recent family matter to draw attention. Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, 38, recently said Musk ended their relationship “with no warning” before they welcomed their child, Seldon Lycurgus — Musk’s 14th known child.
St. Clair had publicly revealed Romulus’s birth on February 14, posting on X that she and Musk had welcomed a son five months earlier. The announcement made headlines as it confirmed Musk had at least 13 children at that point. Musk initially responded to her post with a baby bottle emoji, though the nature of their co-parenting relationship quickly deteriorated into the current legal and financial conflict documented in the film.
The documentary “Musk” continues its festival run with screenings scheduled in Toronto.
