Emails Reveal Why Jeffrey Epstein Faced Permanent Ban from Xbox Live

Recently disclosed emails have shown that Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, was prohibited from using Xbox Live.

On Friday (January 30), a vast collection of Epstein-related documents was unveiled, encompassing three million papers, alongside 180,000 images and 2,000 videos made available online.

The newly released documents also feature a number of well-known individuals, including Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who appears in a photograph kneeling over a woman.

Additionally, the files reveal Epstein’s claims that Bill Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease after engaging with ‘Russian girls’.

Epstein further alleged that Gates sought antibiotics to discreetly administer to his then-wife, Melinda.

A representative for Gates has strongly refuted these allegations, stating: “These claims are absolutely absurd and completely false.

“The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein’s frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame.”

It is crucial to understand that being mentioned or pictured in the files does not imply any wrongdoing.

The files also contain emails from 2013 indicating that Epstein was ‘permanently suspended due to harassment, threats, and/or abuse of other players’ from Xbox Live, according to XboxEra.

This ban came about after an agreement between Microsoft and the New York Attorney General to ban all registered sex offenders from the platform.

It’s uncertain whether Epstein himself was actively using an Xbox, but in 2014 he inquired with his executive assistant about owning an ‘xbox 360 kinect’, and a 2016 email discusses purchasing an Xbox as a present for a boy.

Another email from 2019 questions, “Why is there a $25.24 charge on Xbox?”

Epstein’s Xbox ban coincided with the period when Elon Musk was reportedly exchanging emails about visiting Epstein’s island.

It appears that the Tesla CEO informed Epstein he would be in the British Virgin Islands during the holidays and inquired about a suitable time to visit.

In December 2013, Musk wrote to Epstein: “Will be in the BVI/St Bart’s area over the holidays. Is there a good time to visit?”

Epstein responded: “Any day 1st-8th. Play it by ear if you want. Always space for you… The 2 or 3 would be perfect. I will come and get you.”

In response to the newly released files, Musk expressed his thoughts on X, stating: “No one pushed harder than me to have the Epstein files released, and I’m glad that has finally happened.

“I had very little correspondence with Epstein and declined repeated invitations to go to his island or fly on his ‘Lolita Express’, but was well aware that some email correspondence with him could be misinterpreted and used by detractors to smear my name.

“I don’t care about that, but what I do care about is that we at least attempt to prosecute those who committed serious crimes with Epstein, especially regarding heinous exploitation of underage girls.”
