Eminem releases new video addressing mortality with heartfelt messages to daughter Hailie Jade

Eminem has unveiled the music video for ‘Temporary’, and it has left fans more emotionally impacted than just hearing the original track.

Marshall Bruce Mathers II, known professionally as Eminem, launched his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), earlier this year. Since then, he has been gradually releasing music videos for select singles.

The video for ‘Temporary’ has struck a chord with fans, prompting them to reach for tissues.

Eminem released the ‘Temporary’ music video on YouTube today (October 3). The song is a heartfelt dedication to his daughter, Hailie, intended as something she can listen to after he’s gone.

In the track, Eminem raps: “A lot of people ask me, am I afraid of death? The truth is, I think what scares me the most is not being able to say all the things I wanna say to you when I’m no longer here. So, this song is for Hailie, for when that day comes.”

The visual presentation is a montage composed of photos and video footage of Eminem with his daughter from her childhood.

In one poignant moment, a card Hailie wrote to Eminem is shown, which reads: “I got this card a few years ago and held onto it and now feels like the perfect time to give it to you.”

Hailie’s message continues: “Thank you for everything you do and always being there for all of us girls. You truly are the best dad in the world. Love you forever and 100 million dollars forever ever and always. Bean.”

The video captures touching moments from Hailie’s wedding day, including scenes of Eminem tearing up as he sees her in her wedding dress, escorting her down the aisle, and their father-daughter dance.

Another memorable moment is when Hailie reveals to Eminem that she is expecting, making him a grandfather.

Fans quickly responded to the video, sharing their thoughts and emotions in the comments section.
