Erika Kirk has posted a montage in honor of the late right-wing commentator Charlie Kirk, reflecting on Turning Point USA’s impressive alternative Super Bowl halftime show.
On February 8, Bad Bunny was the headliner for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
The artist from Puerto Rico, known by his real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, marked a milestone as he became the first male solo Latin performer at the NFL’s halftime show.
However, Bad Bunny’s performance received criticism from figures like Donald Trump. In response, Charlie Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, organized a separate halftime show.
This alternative event featured performances by Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.
Erika, who now leads the organization and is Charlie’s widow, responded by sharing a montage of her late husband on X. She described the alternative show as “so incredible” and pondered on how Charlie would have appreciated it.

She released a 52-second video tribute to Charlie, who was fatally shot at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in September 2025. A 22-year-old named Tyler Robinson is facing multiple charges in connection with Kirk’s death and had a pre-trial hearing recently.
The montage includes personal moments from Charlie’s life, such as their wedding and his public speaking events, with the voiceover done by Charlie himself.
Erika’s message stated: “The @TPUSA All-American Halftime Show was so incredible. Charlie would’ve absolutely loved it. Thank you to the millions that tuned in. I’m so proud of our entire team, staff, and the artists who believed in the vision and mission @KidRock @brantleygilbert @leebrice @GabbyBarrett.”
She added: “It’s okay to love Jesus and your country. Ultimately, this is what it’s all about, making Heaven crowded.…I love you Charlie baby, this is all for you.”

Despite her enthusiasm, the alternative halftime show didn’t receive unanimous praise on social media.
After ‘The All American Halftime Show’ was streamed live on YouTube at 8pm ET, viewers took to the internet to share their opinions.

One user on X wondered: “How was it? I was watching the Super Bowl.”
Another pointed out, “The alternative show drew roughly 4 percent as many viewers as the Super Bowl halftime broadcast. Cute!”
Yet another shared a GIF of Homer Simpson pouring bleach into his eyes, commenting: “I would rather do this.”
