An old Instagram reply has resurfaced, giving fans a glimpse into Erling Haaland’s go-to coffee order in the US, and plenty of people online aren’t sure what to make of it.
Haaland has already had his fair share of unusual viral moments, including being spotted with a stuffed raccoon holding a bottle of alcohol.
But the Manchester City forward has now sparked fresh conversation for a very different reason: the way he likes his coffee when he’s in the United States.
The discussion began after a screenshot shared by Pubity highlighted a video caption that read:
“If Haaland is really chronically online I need to know his coffee order in the US.”
According to the screenshot, an account appearing to belong to Haaland replied with his preferred choice:
“Mold free coffee, raw milk & raw honey!”
He didn’t stop there either.
The follow-up comment added:
“(Add the raw honey after the temperature drops a bit with a wooden spoon!)”
It didn’t take long for social media users to offer their reactions.
One person asked:
“What kind of coffee place did he go to that made him start asking for mold free coffee?”
Another wrote:
“Where does he get raw (unpasturized) milk at cafés? It’s nutrient dense and good for you but hard to find,”
And a third said:
“With the “wooden spoon?” That’s some wild order lol.”
Haaland has previously given fans a wider look at the routines behind his performance. In a YouTube video released after he launched his channel, he showed how he starts the day with coffee mixed with raw milk and maple syrup, alongside a diet built around high-protein meals, regular recovery work and strict attention to the small details that shape his training.
That video also helped turn his diet into a talking point well beyond football, with supporters and fitness fans alike debating whether his habits are elite-athlete genius or simply next-level eccentric.
While some fans may be tempted to try out Haaland’s drink for themselves, experts have warned against taking the same approach with the rest of his diet.

The 6’5″ Norway international recently launched a YouTube channel that gives supporters a closer look at his daily routine.
Viewers noticed that at home he adds maple syrup to his coffee, and his usual intake also includes herbal tea, protein powder, fried eggs and bread.
More concern has centred on the wider eating plan he follows, which features foods such as eggs, red meat, raw milk, bone marrow and yogurt.
Health officials warn that raw, unpasteurized milk can carry harmful bacteria and pose a serious food-safety risk, especially for children, pregnant people, older adults and anyone with a weakened immune system.
Nichola Ludlam-Raine, author of How Not to Eat Ultra-Processed, explained that the plan suits Haaland because he is an elite athlete with highly specific physical and performance demands.
In other words, what works for someone with his height, muscle mass, genetics, training load and career requirements is unlikely to translate well to the average person.
The dietician also warned that copying a diet involving raw or unfamiliar foods could raise the risk of illnesses linked to E.coli, Salmonella and Listeria.
So if you’re taking inspiration from Haaland, it may be safer to start with the coffee rather than the full menu.
