Sophie Grégoire, the estranged partner of Justin Trudeau, has spoken out about how she is managing the rumors surrounding Trudeau’s new relationship.
Recently, photos made the rounds on social media showing former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and singer Katy Perry sharing an intimate moment on a yacht.
These images left fans speculating that the two were involved romantically, if not already in a committed relationship.
Speculation began after Perry and Orlando Bloom ended their nine-year relationship, during which they were engaged for six years. Meanwhile, Trudeau and Grégoire ended their 18-year partnership in 2023.
Trudeau and Perry have since been seen dining together, which has only fueled the ongoing discussions, though neither has officially commented on the matter.
Grégoire has addressed this potential romance, speaking on a podcast released on YouTube on November 12.

On the Arlene is Alone podcast, Grégoire discussed how she copes with the constant public scrutiny regarding her ex-husband’s relationship status.
The host remarked: “If you don’t want to talk about it, that’s cool but sometimes I do think about you, about the publicity and publicness of Justin is doing for example right now.
“I don’t know how you stay cool, and I really admire it because I know I would probably not be that way.”
Grégoire responded: “You know, we are human beings and stuff effects us, normal.
“How you react to stuff is your decision, so I choose to try and listen to the music instead of the noise, I am very aware of the public stuff out there can be triggers.
“We are humans, what I do with it is my decision, the woman I want to become through this is my decision.”

Grégoire acknowledged feeling emotional about these situations but emphasized that she decides how to respond after experiencing those emotions.
She stressed that allowing herself to feel these emotions benefits her mental well-being, rather than suppressing them.
The conversation then shifted to the discussions prompted by the yacht and dinner photos, with the host agreeing on the importance of processing feelings without remaining in a constant state of reaction.
Attempts have been made to reach out to representatives for Perry and Trudeau for their comments.
