With Season 3 of Euphoria now in production, speculation about behind-the-scenes tension has resurfaced — particularly involving Spider-Man lead Zendaya and Anyone But You actor Sydney Sweeney.
On screen, the new episodes aren’t holding back on shock value, including storylines that see Sweeney’s character Cassie step into the world of OnlyFans in NSFW nude scenes.
Away from the cameras, however, the show has recently faced renewed talk of cast drama — but those claims have been firmly dismissed.
Jessica Herman, who plays Heather, has addressed the chatter directly and said there’s no bad blood among the cast.
Speaking on Monday’s episode of Good Day New York, Herman said the atmosphere on the HBO Max set was genuinely positive.
“They really did,” she said. “And I’m not just saying that.”

She went on to stress there was no tension between the Euphoria cast at all, explaining that everyone has built a strong, professional dynamic. “Really, they’ve created this beautiful working relationship and everyone wants to do the work, to come in and do the job.”
Herman also noted that Zendaya and Sweeney don’t often work together in scenes, which makes the rumors even less believable.
“To be fair, when I was there, they’re not sharing scenes,” she said. “Their storylines are very separate, you’re shooting on different days and stuff.”
Earlier in the season, the gossip intensified when Sweeney didn’t appear in a cast photo tied to the current run. But Page Six later reported she was simply busy filming a scene at the time the photo was taken.
With both stars heavily booked, it’s not surprising their schedules are complicated. Zendaya has three major releases expected this month — Dune: Part Three, The Odyssey, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Sweeney, meanwhile, has been doing press for thriller The Housemaid.

That workload has prompted fresh questions about what comes next for Euphoria — and whether the series could wrap up sooner rather than later.
Earlier this month, Zendaya appeared to suggest the end may be approaching.
When Drew Barrymore asked the star if the new season would be the last, Zendaya admitted: “I think so, yeah.”
Despite Barrymore saying she ‘never wants to ask questions like that,’ she added: “is this to be enjoyed knowing [it will end]?”
Zendaya once again repeated herself, adding: “Yes, I think so,” before saying closure ‘is coming’.
For now, viewers will be hoping that isn’t the final word — and that there’s still a chance the story continues beyond this season.
