Eva Green reveals co-star once offered to show her ‘his d***’ to make sex scene ‘easier’

Eva Green spills the tea on her very first film role and how she mastered those nerve-wracking sex scenes like a pro!

At 44, Eva Green has totally nailed being the ultimate Bond girl, especially in what many argue is the series’ standout film, Casino Royale, where she starred opposite Daniel Craig.

Despite her experience with steamy scenes in Bond and beyond, Green opened up about her first major cinematic endeavor and how she managed to surprise even herself.

Back in 2003, Eva Green made waves in the erotic drama The Dreamers, directed by the renowned Bernardo Bertolucci. The film features Green as Isabelle, part of a French twin duo who start an intense relationship with an American exchange student, Matthew, in Paris.

As the trio dives deep into a sexual and emotionally complex relationship, the dynamics start to get tricky. With three in the mix, the big question looms— who’s the odd one out?

Given the film’s erotic nature, it’s no shock that Green faced a lot of intense sex scenes.

In a revealing 2012 interview with The Sun, Green, who was 21 at the time of filming, described the scenes as ‘quite full on and frank,’ including one particularly challenging moment where Isabelle loses her virginity. She discussed how she geared up for the demanding scenes and overcame her initial apprehensions, with a little unexpected help from a co-star.

Eva discussed how she was offered some alcohol to calm her nerves before filming the intimate scenes, admitting she did indulge in a bit of whisky to take the edge off.

But the real ice-breaker came when her co-star, Louis Garrel, visited her trailer with a bold proposition.

According to Green, Garrel’s approach was straightforward: “I will show you my d**k if you show me your breasts.”

“So I did, and he did. He said to me: ‘They look great.’ So when it came to the sex scenes, it made it a little easier,” she recounted.

For the challenging scene where Isabelle loses her virginity, Green also tapped into her own personal experiences to bring authenticity to her performance.

Reflecting on the process, she noted: “I am so reserved in real life, but I surprised myself completely.”
