Everyone’s buzzing about the same question after ICE agent slips on icy surface in viral video

People are humorously commenting that ICE officers ‘can’t handle the ice’ after a video of an officer slipping gained widespread attention.

ICE officers have been active across various regions of the United States recently, with particular attention on their operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which have captured international headlines.

On January 7, an incident involving an ICE officer shooting a 37-year-old woman in her car led to significant controversy. The woman, identified as Renee Nicole Good, was allegedly driving towards an officer, although some argue she was simply trying to leave the scene.

The officer involved in the shooting has been named as Jonathan Ross. A Minneapolis resident, the 43-year-old has been with ICE since 2015.

Ross is also a veteran of the Iraq War, serving there in 2004 and 2005, and is involved with the local SWAT team and the FBI’s anti-terrorism task force.

Vice President JD Vance has stated that Ross has ‘absolute immunity’ from criminal prosecution in this matter.

The actions of Ross, along with other ICE officers in Minneapolis, have drawn significant public criticism.

In a widely shared video, an ICE officer can be seen running towards anti-ICE protestors, only to slip on ice, leading to cheers and laughter from observers.

This incident was recorded and shared online, with the video receiving 55,000 upvotes on Reddit at the time of this writing.

One Reddit user commented on the video: “The pure JOY of the bystanders is excellent. They needed that laugh!”

Another user joked: “Ice assaulting ice.”

Someone else remarked: “He couldn’t have possibly looked like more of an idiot. This is perfect. It’s just too bad we can’t see his face.”

The event was also described as a ‘classic blunder’ considering the icy conditions typical of Minnesota in January.

Others questioned the officer’s decision to run, wondering about his intentions.

One individual commented: “Who was this guy even chasing after? Was he trying to tackle someone and then decided it wasn’t worth it out of embarrassment?”

Another questioned: “What exactly was he attempting? To intimidate and terrorize.”

One person speculated: “Whatever made him run wasn’t that important, I guess,” while another added: “I don’t understand, what the hell was he planning on doing?”

The true intent behind the officer’s actions remains unclear…
